been awhile!

as always, it’s been awhile since i’ve posted.  i thought maybe i’d share a few recent LOs, so here we go:

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Actually, we’re finally just beginning to experience a bit of summer weather here in Vancouver.  Temps have been in the upper 80s and we’re roasting, but enjoying some sunshine!  That’s not stopping me from thinking about Christmas though, as Scrapmatters is having a great Christmas in July sale!

WM[squared] Birthday Bash Blog Train

Hey there!  You are nearing the end of the blog train, but I hope you’re not losing steam yet!  (I’m sorry that was so corny!)  Before I get to my template, Wendy wants us to share about our favorite birthday.  I’ve had a lot of great birthdays, but my favorite would have to be my 24th.  At the time, I had been living in Mexico almost a year and had seen very little of my family.  My birthday is in mid-January and I hadn’t gotten to go home for Christmas.  My dad decided to come down and spend my birthday (and the week surrounding it!) with me!  The night before, we had dinner with the missionary families I worked with.  Then, on my actual birthday, my dad, myself and I went to the zoo, and out to dinner at Outback (a rare treat in Mexico!).  Finally, the next day, a bunch of my Mexican friends came over for a party and gave me the traditional “mordida” (where they smash your face into your cake.  messy, but fun!).  So, basically, I got to celebrate for 3 days!  Who doesn’t love that?!?  Here’s a pic of my dad and I with my first cake – I’d just discovered they were trick candles!

a sweet forever

wow, it’s been a sweet forever since i last posted anything.  i’d give an excuse and say i’ll be better now, but there really isn’t one and in all honesty, i probably won’t!  i guess i’ve just been busy living life!  i’m definitely scrapping a bit less these days, but, not to fear, i’m still at it!  here are a few random pages i’ve done in the past few months:

a few pages

these days it’s pretty rare for me to spend much time looking around at shops other than SM, but i still get emails from many.  peppermint creative has always had great kits, but they released one last week that really caught my eye called “Miso Funky.”  it was on sale and i just couldn’t resist and boy am i glad i didn’t!  i downloaded it a couple of days ago and have already used it for 3 pages.
