a few pages

these days it’s pretty rare for me to spend much time looking around at shops other than SM, but i still get emails from many.  peppermint creative has always had great kits, but they released one last week that really caught my eye called “Miso Funky.”  it was on sale and i just couldn’t resist and boy am i glad i didn’t!  i downloaded it a couple of days ago and have already used it for 3 pages.

here are a couple of previews of the kit, as well as the pages i’ve done with them (i’ve mixed in a few things from other kits, so be sure to click the links below the images for credits):

Back to School

I’m so excited to reveal this kit to you all!  Like I said yesterday, it’s just fabulous!!  Here is WM[squared] Design’s *NEW* kit, “Back to School.”

Isn’t it just gorgeous?!?

She also made a super cute stamp kit to go along with it:

And, for this week only, you can grab them both together, for a discounted price!

As if that weren’t enough, Wendy also has a great Add-on freebie (which is quite large in my opinion!) on her blog, so be sure to check that out too!

And finally, here’s what I put together with this beauty:

Enjoy and happy scrapping!

a busy night

i spent most of the evening tonight scrapping and got quite a bit accomplished!  here’s what i came up with:

this may wind up being one of my all time faves.  my sister’s friend took this photo and i love the coloring of it and how it goes w/ the kit i used (“love life” by sahlin studios)

this one is using Haynay’s new kit, “pebble and butterflies” and her new photo block “together forever.”  she’s celebrating her one year birthday over at SM this weekend (more on that to come in a bit!)

this was for an “Everyday Magic” challenge where you were supposed to scrap something that someone close to you says a lot.  well, my dad said this verse to me every single day for years as i left for school, so of course i scrapped it!

this was for a template challenge and i thought this photo just went too perfectly!  it’s an old photo of my grandfather and i just love it.  he looks like he’s having such a great time!

and, finally, here’s one i actually scrapped last week but forgot to post, using one of WM[squared]’s template sets she released last week.

and, finally, WM[squared] released a FABULOUS grab bag this weekend that includes the best birthday kit ever!  here’s what i did:

vote for us!

Round 3 voting is up for our Battle of the Creative Teams.  Here is the link.  We’re the first team – [squared] Divas.

This assignment was tough.  We had to come up with a formula and then follow it.  So, we had to have 10 of something, 9 of something else, 8 of something else, etc., all the way down to just 1.  Also, you could ONLY use what was in your formula.  Here’s my layout and the formula:

10 staples
9 circles
8 items of nature
7 ribbons
6 papers
5 fonts
4 photos
3 frames
2 alphas
1 glitter item
